AUVSI XPONENTIAL is coming up quickly, at the end of this month. Covering areas such as policy, technology, business solutions, trending topics and more, this will be another exhilarating year.  Oh, and did you know we’ll be exhibiting? Be sure to stop by booth 4036 - click here for info on our booth!

But we do need to toot our own horn just a little bit this year… Did you know that our president, Sara Blackmer is the keynote host for the event? What a great addition to the event, we are all excited here and know she will do an amazing job. We know you’ll enjoy seeing her there.

Also, Sara and our director of product development, Karl Rosenberger will be presenting the Advanced Performance Computing Power for Large Data Set Processing and Analysis session on Wed, May 2 at 11:45am. You don’t want to miss this session. You could say that RAVE is entrenched in AUVSI this year!

This is AI scale on a whole new level. Businesses today need to scale out their AI - without scaling up cost or complexity. At GTC 2018, NVIDIA introduced the DGX-2 to its portfolio of supercomputers. DGX-2 is the first two-petaflops system that engages 16 fully interconnected GPUs, enabling you to take on the world’s most complex AI challenges.

Let’s do a deeper dive into what you can expect from this new product. read more

Attending MDEX April 25-26?

Our booth is always a must see (B1). We will be highlighting data analytics and AI, you won’t want to miss our on-site demos. Do you need custom AI solutions - you need to talk to us.

Talk to us about how to leverage AI for your DOD needs leading into the future and how our custom solutions can take you there.

As technology develops so does the type of memory available, and the speed. RAVE is uniquely equipped to capitalize on memory customization including NVMe and how it can bring you significantly more performance that traditional SATA.

NVME offers a much better price to performance ratio. Even though these drives can deliver up to 6X performance, the increase in cost is a fraction of that.

Our recording servers are carefully designed to ensure that there are no performance bottlenecks on the devices that capture the incoming data. This allows us to take full advantage of the performance capabilities of the NVME drives and maximize efficiency. In order to do this we must use a PCI Express topology that balances our available resources appropriately between all of our I/O devices.

Rick's Reflections
Rick Darter, Co-founder and CEO

In 1992 Sun Microsystems held an auction of “unused and used” computer hardware that they had accumulated from different sources including distributor stock rotations, lease returns and demo equipment.  RAVE purchased $800,000 in equipment at prices well below market value and resold it all too various end users and used equipment brokers.

From Sun’s perspective the auction was a disaster, they had expected a much higher return, the computer systems sold for 10-20% of original list price. What we learned soon after was that Sun had actually sold only a portion of their surplus and that their surplus was continually growing as distributors continued to rotate and leases ended.  read more

RAVE is very proud to announce once again that we have been named Intel Partner of the Year - this time in the Data Center Platform Category!

For this year’s award, RAVE worked with the client to create a rugged 1U server that is a single 10 core Intel Xeon CPU that can act both as a field replaceable system to a defective system, as well as the next generation tech refresh system. RAVE’s design created a 1U solution that replaced four less efficient servers. RAVE achieved the goal of our client by reducing the footprint and power requirements of the on-ship datacenter nodes with a compact 1U rugged server featuring Intel’s latest multi-core processors.

RAVE became an Intel® Channel Partner Premier Member in 2005 and was also honored at the 2006 Intel Solutions Summit with the Rookie of the Year Award. Since then RAVE has won Intel® Partner of the Year six more times.
