Do you remember the dot-com bubble? When startup companies attracted the attention of venture capitalists who were interested in financing the startups, taking them public and, hopefully, reaping massive profits? RAVE was right in the middle of it. However, there was no interest in going public and/or selling the company, so I positioned RAVE as a trusted supplier.

The internet first became available to the general public in 1994; in early 1995 RAVE registered the domain names RAVE.com and RAVE.net – long before rave parties existed along with Rave shampoo or clothing.

Startup companies started racking and stacking huge data centers: Amazon was a startup company selling books, AOL Online was new, Yahoo started an online search engine and eBay started in 1995 as an online auction house. Hundreds of companies were starting; grew quickly backed by venture capital; and went public.  read more
